Dr. Thayil – The Author
Dr. Thayil believes in, and practices spreading of knowledge. As a solid step in this direction, he has also authored quite a few books on heart diseases. Most of his books on heart-care are best sellers as well.

TV shows
Dr Thayil believes that creating awareness is one concrete step towards fighting a disease. He uses all available means of communication to this cause. Hence, he is a familiar face on the television channels of Kerala. He enlightens people on the need for heart-care and healthy living through the medical talk shows aired by various channels. Some of his notable television shows include:

- Coordinator of a live medical program, named "MY DOCTOR", on Reporter TV Channel.
- Presents and participates regularly in 'Dr. LIVE' programs on popular Malayalam television channels.
